Los Campesinos Ecolodge
Active fun for the whole family $85/person
Cross hanging bridges, swim beneath stunning waterfalls, and admire exotic plants and animals in this protected eco reserve. After the hike, you will be guests in the home of Los Campesinos residents, Victor and Corona Mora. While Corona prepares a home-cooked meal, Victor will show you through his garden of fruits, vegetables, and herbs, and teach you how to press fresh sugarcane into juice.
Activity level: Moderate (hiking through well-defined trails, up and down steep inclines, and swimming in natural pools)
Duration: 6 hours, 9am-3pm
Services provided: Transportation to/from Quepos/Manuel Antonio hotels and houses. Entrance into Los Campesinos Reserve. Full lunch with beverage.
What to wear: Clothes that can get wet and/or swimsuit. Shoes suitable for dirt trails.
What to bring (suggested): Sunscreen, insect repellent, bottled water, towel, dry change of clothes.


















Nauyaca Waterfalls
Option 1: The falls on horseback $145/person
Enjoy a scenic drive through coastal lowlands and mountains to the Barucito River, where your guided horseback tour begins. Your 4-kilometer journey wanders over bridges, through streams, and up old mountain roads. Monkeys, sloths, toucans, and more are regularly seen, and the lively Barucito is never far from sight. Before reaching the falls, you will stop for a light breakfast amidst peacocks and macaws at the Nauyaca farmhouse. Once reaching the falls, you will have 2 hours to explore, swim, and take photos of the 2 impressive cascades. If conditions are right, your guide will offer to lead you on a climb up one of the falls to a ledge perfect for an epic jump into the pool below. Back at the farmhouse, you will be treated to a hot, hearty lunch before your trek down the mountain.
Activity level: Moderate (horseback riding over uneven, steep terrain. At the falls, a 100M dirt trail with multiple stairs)
Duration: 7.5 hours, 6am-1:30pm

What to wear: Clothes that can get wet and/or swimsuit. Shoes suitable for dirt trails (no sandals or flip-flops/thongs).
What to bring (suggested): Backpack with sunscreen, insect repellent, bottled water, towel, dry change of clothes.
Option 2: The falls by 4x4 truck $115/person
Enjoy a scenic drive through the lowlands and up mountain roads to the Barucito River where your guided tour begins. As you ride in the bed of an off-road equipped 4x4 truck, be on the lookout for monkeys, sloths, toucans, as well as the lively Barucito. Once reaching the falls, you will have 2 hours to explore, swim, and take photos of the 2 impressive cascades. If conditions are right, your guide will offer to lead you on a climb up one of the falls to a ledge perfect for an epic jump into the pool below. After your Nauyaca adventure, enjoy a hearty meal at a nearby restaurant, built inside the fuselage of commercial jetliner.

Duration: 6 hours, early-midmorning start

What to wear: Clothes that can get wet and/or swimsuit. Shoes suitable for dirt trails (no sandals or flip-flops/thongs).

Aguas Termales Hot Springs
Family-owned and unique to the area $85/person
After a scenic drive through the lowland coastal region and picturesque forest roads, the natural hot springs at Agua Termales are just steps away. Relax in pools built by hand by the family who discovered these springs just a few years ago. Feel the tingle of tiny bubbles running up your body as you lean against warm stones taken right from the mountain hills surrounding this riverside escape. Explore and play in the river and enjoy its cool contrast to the warm springs. After your soak, savor a freshly prepared lunch, provided by a local family.
Activity level: Easy (short gravel trail and stone steps into hot spring pools)
Duration: 4-5 hours, morning start
Services provided: Transportation to/from Quepos/Manuel Antonio hotels and houses. Entrance into Aguas Termales Hot Springs. Full lunch with beverage.
What to wear: Swimsuit. Shoes, flip-flops, or sandals suitable for short trail walk.
What to bring (suggested): Insect repellent, bottled water, towel, dry change of clothes.
